Kassandria is a small town with about 3.500 people as permanent residents, even though this number multiplies throughout the summer months due to the tourist developments of the past decades.

Local Festivals & Events in Kassandra, Halkidiki Greece

Do not miss the very interesting festivals hosted in the Kassandra Peninsula during the summer months.
The Afitos Festival takes place during the summer, including a varous cultural events like theatrical performances, art exhibitions, concerts and shadow theater performances.
The Kassandra Festival is held all summer in Siviri, at the village's amphitheatre and introduce its public to performances by artists from all over the world.
On the15 th of August that is the most significant religious day of the summer in orthodox religion there plenty of local fiestas (panigiria).
The following villages : Afitos, Kalandra, Kryopigi, Paliouri host some of the most famous ones.
Other religious Kassandra festivals take place on the name day of the village's patron saints.
The most popular are: Apostles Petros and Pavlos on June 29 and 30 in Nea Fokea, Agia Marina on July 17 in Fourka, Agia Paraskevi on July 26 in Agia Paraskevi and Agios Pantelaemonas on July 27 in Kallithea.
