Hanioti

Hanioti village is a small picturesque village located in Kassandra’s peninsula in Halkidiki. It was named after its first resident who was born in Chania in Crete.
The old Hanioti village was built about 2,5 kilometers away from it is today, but after a big earthquake at the early 30’s the village was destroyed and its residents decided to rebuilt it but this time closer to the sea.
This also resulted to the fact that today the village does not follow the typical anarchic land planning of other Greek villages.

Hanioti village is very well developed and organized in terms of tourist facilities and its inhabitants are renown for their hospitality.
Hanioti combines beautiful sandy beaches, a lot of green plenty of taverns, restaurants and bars, clubs as well as many shops.
There are many hotels and rooms for rent in the village and the area nearby.
One of the sites that you should visit is the beautiful Town Hall of municipality of Pallini.
In terms of eating, fresh fish is always available throuout the summer months but do not miss to try a souvlaki in the main village square.
In the evenings the village fills up with people that enjoy their promenade in the small streets and the village’s atmosphere becomes cosmopolitan since it is a common habit in Greek resorts for residents and tourists to dress up in order to welcome the night.
The village square is where everything begins and you can enjoy an afternoon coffee or a small snack before dinner or have your portrait made by street artists.
There are two big supermarkets for your grocery. The first is at the entry of the village and the other just before the exit from the village (in the main street).
