Corfu airport to Glyfada transfer
Glyfada - Corfu Island
greece transfer services

If you are looking for an amazing beach with sand, one of the most beautiful that the island has to offer is Glyfada beach and you should definitely not miss it.

Glyfada is a small village on the west side of Corfu city and the airport, with a privileged setting on a huge spectacular bay of Corfu surrounded with hills, filled with pine trees.

Apart from the astonishing panorama, the beach has also offers plenty of variety in terms of nightlife and dining out.

There are various cafes and traditional taverns close to the beach, where you can enjoy eating and drinking with the sea as background!

The beach of Glyfada is renowned to be one of the most stunning in Corfu. Situated at the west side of the island, extended around the hill of Peleka. It is a beach that has been awarded with the Blue Flag, and this is one of the principal reasons that make it one of the most visited on the island.

It is also well organized and has to offer different choices to people who love swimming and water sports, such as water ski, Jet Ski, bicycle and team sports. Every summer you can find a beach volley tournament that is organized there and has become quite an event for the island. In the same area is also found the Aqualand, the fun water park where every visitor can have a lot of fun with family and friends.

Glyfada was settled in a way to contain a modern coastal centre with comfortable hotels, qualitative restaurants and bars. Near to Glyfada beach, are found the golf course of Corfu and the Equestrian Club.

Glyfada is a pleasant, cool resort but small enough to maintain a traditional sense with picturesque landscapes and beautiful taverns and bars. It is vivid and bustling as a holiday resort but nothing too harsh.

Your holidays here may also include one day excursions to Corfu Town, the traditional village of Pelekas, golf at Ermines or a tour to the beautiful quiet Miriotissa bay where you could visit the unique monastery.

Although the most of the visitors in Glyfada come here to enjoy the sand and the sea, don’t miss out a small walk to surrounding cliff tops in order to enjoy the views and fabulously colorful sun rising.

Glyfada offers plenty first-rate facilities for water sport fans, golfers and walkers equally. Water sports in Glyfada include waterskiing, sailing, windsurfing, jet skis and canoeing.

Volleyball is popular on the beach and golfers will enjoy a near golf route. If you can take yourself away from the Glyfada beach, there are ample walking paths in the beautiful landscape. You will find cliffs, inland hills and coastal strolls.
